Ryan began making music at the early age of nine years
as a middle school percussionist, then moving on to drum set and guitar.
Ryan was a member of several ensembles in the Eastern Washington
University music program including percussion ensemble, several jazz
combos, concert band and wind ensemble. Ryan moved to Tulsa and
quickly became a part of ORU's worship department where Ryan played
guitar and drumset for ORU chapels nearly every week on national
television and participated in other special university music events.
Currently, Ryan is an ORU graduate, with his Bachelors in Music, and
leads worship for the youth group at Faith United Methodist. He is
a studio drummer for Cardinal Recording Studios and the drummer for
Cornerstone Family Church's Sunday worship. For the last four
years Ryan has been the drummer for the band Red Wood Rising and has
recorded two CD's with them. Ryan has been teaching drum set,
percussion, guitar and music theory for more than three years and loves
mixing practical music theory with technique in a fun, learning
atmosphere.
