Instructor Bios
 |
Ruth Mardirosian graduated from the University of Tulsa
with Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and
Education (Hennecke Graduate Research Fellow). At the age of
14, she started teaching piano to pay for her own lessons
and continues teaching private and group piano to children
of all ages. While on the Music Faculty at Heartland Baptist
Bible College in Oklahoma City for 4 years, she taught
Piano, Music Theory and Composition, Music History,
Philosophy of Music, and accompanied the College Choir. In
2005 she recorded her first Sacred Solo Piano CD entitled Hallelujah! What a Savior and is making plans for
another recording. Back in Tulsa, Ruth is a private piano
teacher, pianist at Eastland Baptist Church, and an
instructor in Music Theory, Aural Skills, and Music History
at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She also teaches workshops
in Piano and Composition for the International Academy of
Music in Indianapolis, Indiana each summer.
Ruth enjoys piano performance and teaching students of all
ages. Her passion is to inspire students toward loving God
with their whole heart and pursuing excellence in music for
His glory. “Neither will I offer . . . unto the Lord my
God of that which doth cost me nothing” (II Samuel
24:24b).
