Unique Opportunity

 Two rare pianos now available!

Our Midtown Tulsa location at 3259 S. Yale has procured a rare treasure, a Bechstein 6’ 7’ Grand Piano built in Berlin in 1897!

This instrument has been totally restored to new condition by Europe’s largest piano rebuilder.

It is finished in Black polyester with floral marquetry.

Along with Steinway, Bosendorfer, and Blunther; Bechstein pianos have always been considered the finest quality pianos available.

Debussy has been quoted as saying “Piano music should be written only for the Bechstein”, and Franz Liszt spoke of Bechstein in more than 200 letters as Germany’s best grand piano maker. Rachmaninov said “The wonderful noble tone, its ideal playability, together with the incomparable touch of the Bechstein grand, always evoke my enthusiasm.”

Bechstein pianos played an important, yet often forgotten role in 20th – century pop music.

The Bechstein grand from Trident Studios in London, for example, has an astonishing history: the Beatles used it to record Hey Jude and most of the tracks on the White Album.  Elton John, David Bowie and Freddy Mercury also played on the instrument.

We urge you to come see and hear this rare piano!

Things current piano owners would like to know

How often should I tune my piano?

Most piano tuners say to tune your piano at least twice a year. The strings of a piano put 2 tons of pressure on the parts of the piano. Regardless of if you play it or not, a piano will go out of tune if you don't have it tuned for several years. Changes in temperature and humidity will do more to put a piano out of tune than anything else.  Click here for a list of our recommended tuners.

How much is my piano worth?

A used piano in showroom floor condition sells for half of what you can buy a new one for. To meet showroom floor condition a piano has to

  1. Be tuned every year of its life
  2. Have no scratches or dings
  3. Have no faults in the interior (broken strings, cracked soundboard, etc.)

Anything that doesn't fit the description of "showroom floor condition" will subtract price value from the piano.

What should I use to clean my piano?

If your piano has a high gloss finish, use a high gloss piano polish found in our store. If your piano has a satin finish, use a satin finish polish. Do not use Pledge or Endust! You can clean the keys with any glass cleaner.

What's the best way to move a piano?

Never move a piano yourself. Always have professional piano movers do the job. A furniture moving company most likely isn't insured and/or capable of moving your piano properly. Moving a piano is a precise operation and you need to have professionals do it.  If you would like to take advantage Saied Music Company's professional piano movers, click here.
