Mat has studied and enjoyed making music for approximately nine years. After attending the Commercial Music Program at Labette Community College, he began taking private lessons with Jim Bates, and is currently studying jazz improvisation with Ted Moses. Mat has played the electric bass for several performing groups and is the house bassist at the Harwelden Mansion jazz clinic. His laid back attitude is perfect for teaching guitar to all ages!
