Mark Holton, a Tulsa native, was the first recipient to be selected to the Oklahoma All-State Band from his Alma Mater, Daniel Webster High School of Tulsa.
He has a Bachelor and Master Degree in Music Education form the University of Tulsa where he worked as a graduate assistant and was a member of the Modern Choir.
He has a combined teaching career in music of more than 27 years and has performed with events such as the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, and performed with the 27th Lancer Drum and Bugle Corp as their solo soprano bugler for the 1980 DCI season.
Mark was selected to perform the National Anthem for a Colorado Rockies baseball game as well as the Drums Along the Rockies Drum and Bugle Corps competition held at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High, where the Denver Broncos play.
He feels it an honor to share his passion of music with young musicians so they can grow and learn the importance of music in one’s life.
